Express One's annual partner meeting was organised this year with a focus on sustainability. It featured gastronomic programmes and an informal atmosphere centred on networking. The impressive venue at the MOL Campus eliminated the need for additional decoration and provided an unforgettable experience with panoramic city views and live music. At the event's conclusion, leftover food was donated to the Maltese Charity Service.
This year marked the first time Express One approached us to assist in organising their annual partner meeting. Their goal was clear: to ensure the event was sustainable in every aspect. This opportunity inspired us to create an event that combined a modern approach, sustainability, and dynamic development aligned with the company’s profile.
Emphasis on Networking
Building and nurturing human connections is paramount at a partner meeting. Therefore, we designed the event to minimise mandatory programmes, allowing participants to converse and acquaint themselves with one another freely. Simultaneously, we aimed to implement a cohesive, comprehensive concept that provided a meaningful and memorable experience.
Sustainability in Gastronomy
The event’s theme revolved around the restaurant and its cuisine. Our programmes included chilli preparation, gastronomic education, and an introduction to Zazie Bistro’s local supply chain and seasonal menus, verified by a local organisation. Our message was clear: sustainability isn’t merely an artisanal approach but can also be modern, impressive, and convenient.
Venue Selection – Modernity and Sustainability
We chose the modern building of the MOL Campus as the event’s venue, perfectly reflecting the company’s innovative and eco-conscious mindset. The location served sustainability—eliminating the need for additional decoration—and provided an impressive atmosphere.
Sky Deck: An Elevated Experience
The event commenced on the sky deck, where the city’s stunning panorama greeted participants. The welcome reception featured live musical performances that uniquely blended traditional instrumental music with modern electronic beats. Thus, the venue and programme perfectly balanced tradition and innovation.
Education in Sustainability
Through interactive educational programmes, participants learned how to make gastronomy more sustainable via presentations by the Heroes of Responsible Dining Foundation. We endeavoured to convey the message of sustainability even in the most minor details, such as reducing the ecological footprint of the dishes.
What Did We Appreciate Most?
One of the event’s most significant achievements was the pervasive presence of sustainability during planning and throughout the event. Leftover food was delivered to the Maltese Charity Service’s Homeless Centre.
